Located right in the middle of this bustling Derbyshire market town, Tannery House and its Garden Wing are amazingly quiet and peaceful, being situated in a secluded backwater. The private garden is complete with a small solar heated swimming pool, an original Bakewell well and many quiet corners in which to relax. 'An oasis of peace..' is the comment made by many new and returning guests. The Garden Wing has full central heating, three en-suite bedrooms, living room, fully fitted kitchen, utility room (with washing and ironing facility) and an entrance hall, which can be made into a dining room if more space is required in the living room. There are three beautiful bedrooms each with bath or shower rooms and french windows opening directly into the garden. All rooms have television, radio, hair dryer and a telephone. The living room is furnished with comfortable seating, dining table and chairs and a television. The kitchen, which opens off the living room, is fitted with dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge and a small freezer. A small utility room (off the kitchen) has washing and ironing facilities. Tariff: The accommodation will be let to only one couple/party at any one period.Our charging policy is based upon the number of bedrooms used during the period of let. Uppertown Farm is a mid 17th century farmhouse with original farm buildings converted to independent self-catering holiday accommodation near Bakewell in Derbyshire. It is in a secluded position on the edge of the village of Birchover in the Peak District National Park and not far from the lovely market town of Bakewell. We have two holiday cottages available: The Byre is a tastefully converted detached barn with accommodation on one level for 4 - 6 people. It has its own large private garden with panoramic views of the countryside. There are 2 double bedrooms, each with ensuite facilities, and a separate area with 2 adult-sized (3') bunk beds. There is a compact, well-equipped kitchen and splendid large dining/living room with original features including open fire, exposed stone walls and pitched roof. The kitchen and dining room have wonderful views of the countryside The Hayloft is a small apartment for two on the upper floor of a barn. The entrance is up a short external flight of stone steps with a handrail. This might not be suitable for a disabled person. The accommodation is all on one level, with a compact, well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. The kitchen leads through to the spacious sitting/bedroom which has a double bed, sofa, TV and DVD. Original features in this room include an exposed stone wall, rafters and pitched roof. There is a bathroom with shower, hand-basin and toilet. Set in the Derbyshire Dales on the edge of the Peak District National Park, Woodside Farm, Nr Matlock, was once a dairy farm is now run as a smallholding, standing in five acres with free-range chickens and sheep graze in the surrounding fields. The farm and holiday cottage occupy a super rural position with fantastic views over the Derwent Valley and surrounding countryside. We are ideally situated for exploring the Peak District and the areas many attractions, with Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and of course Matlock and Matlock Bath close by.
